Shopping trip from HELL!
Yesterday, after the absolute WORST grocery shopping trip ever, Makenna and I baked the yummiest shortbread cookies! (it's ON Danica!!) I swear I'm never going shopping by myself with my kids again! Well Makenna was good, but Saige was not! I got the girls loaded into the shopping cart and off we went into the Superstore. We made it not even 30 feet inside and Saige started screaming her face off. I tried to calm her down, but nothing would work, so back to the car we went. I sat in the car and nursed her for a few minutes and remembered that I had the Baby Bjorn carrier with us. So with Saige screaming again, I managed to get her strapped onto me and then I bounced around like an idiot in the parking lot and finally got her calmed down. So I loaded Makenna back into the cart again and we were ready to give it another try. This time we didn't even make it inside the doors before Saige started up again, so back to the car we went. At this point I was ready to give her away to any stranger who passed by!! So I sat in the car and nursed her again until she finally fell asleep. I carefully got her secured back into the Bjorn, loaded Makenna back into the cart and we were ready to try attempt number 3. Well she slept for most of the shopping, but my shoulders hurt so bad from carrying her in the bjorn that I could have cried! She is much to heavy for it!! When we got to the check out she woke up, which I was very grateful for because I wanted to her off of me!! So I put her back into the cart and of course she starts to wail again! I just left her to cry because I had had enough, and because I had to bag my groceries! Poor Makenna was trying everything to calm her down.. she is such a good big sister. When we were leaving we were walking by a lady down near the customer service and she offered me a tissue for Saige.. I guess she had heard her screaming from across the store! Saige has got the loudest, most nerve shattering scream on her! Never again!!!! Anyways, here are the delicious cookies that I was telling you about with the wonderful big sister who helped me make them..

well silly........she misses her gramma luvvy so she is crying on occasion!!! Oh I can only imagine because, unless you have had the privilege(and that is a loose term) of hearing her cry, you cannot appreciate just how loud and stressful it is!!!
Makenna you are a good big sister and a good cookie maker too!

Awww Linds! It is so embarassing when they scream in public places.. I thought Maeve screamed loud when she was a baby an dthen we had Madigan! YEOW! she is a loud screamer!!!
Good for you for figuring it all out, getting the groceries and NOT strangling your children!! Way to go Linds, you are a great Mommy!!

Dude, its obvious that she just missed me. I'm sure Mikes emotions get out of control when I'm not around too, his poor workmates.
